Vintage Look Three Strand Graduated Pearl Necklace!

Here are some new photographs of a popular necklace in my shop. I based it on a photograph I saw of a vintage pearl necklace, and tried to recreate the look. I really love the look of this necklace but also wanted to make something similar, but a little shorter and more modern looking, so I recently added this necklace to the shop

The shop has been very busy so far this year (you can visit by clicking on the Etsy Mini at right) but I am finding time to make a few new items and get them in the shop. Often a customer will suggest an item which becomes very popular!

Great Gatsby Flapper Necklace

Of course the Downton Abbey jewelry and the Great Gatsby jewelry touch on the same time period. The twenties, the art deco era. I had made the clear necklace above in both black and pink (which you can find at my Etsy store) but a client requested one on clear crystal, for a Great Gatsby party she was attending. I thought it was a great idea, so here it is. It is very long, a long flapper necklace, just like they had in the Gatsby Era. I also included a photo of a new pearl necklace I just listed; I call it a vintage look double strand pearl necklace, as I used seed beads to space in between each pearl, to give it the vintage look of silk knotting. It comes in white as well, and would also make a lovely bridal party gift. That's it for now! I'm always designing new things and will try to update more often!

Downton Abbey Inspired Great Gatsby Era Jewelry

I've created a new three strand black crystal necklace. It was inspired by a vintage necklace from the 1920's that I found. It goes with the rest of the my Downton Abbey Inspired collection, it is all black glass crystal, and inspired by the same time period. Lady Mary's Necklace on Downton Abbey

Well! I finally did it. I wanted to make a necklace that looked even more like the classic black long glass crystal necklace that Lady Mary wore in several of the early episodes of Downton Abbey. I am very pleased with the result! I love very long necklaces, and this one is 50 inches, so it can be worn long or wrapped around.I think it's very versatile and can be worn with so many types of outfits. I love designs and styles from the flapper/deco era so I particularly love this kind of thing. Downton Abbey Necklace Inspired by Lady Mary

This is my most popular Downton Abbey Inspired Necklace so far. It is made with all black glass faceted crystals and small black seed beads. It is really long, 50 inches, so you can wrap it around two or three times for different looks. Or it can just be worn long as a single strand like they did back in the twenties; the flapper look. Downton Abbey Jewelry on Etsy!

Well, it's been very busy 2012 at Juliana's Creations. The Etsy site is getting more popular all the time, and I am busy with lots of custom orders. I'm learning a few things about Search Engine Optimization and suchlike, updating my main website, and learning about Pintrest. I love Pintrest and I am also easily overwhelmed! I continue to try to make classic designs with broad appeal that are beautiful and not boring. And I've been so busy, I've not found time to design more items for my Downton Abbey Inspired Line, which is the next thing on my list. Can't wait for September for the next series!

Downton Abbey Inspired Jewelry

Yes, I am addicted to the PBS Series Downton Abbey. I have watched every episode, and the first season twice! Since I am a jewelry designer, I of course noticed the jewelry. And especially in the episode where Mr.Pamuk died, the ladies were wearing a lot of lovely black glass crystal jewelry. I was inspired by those pieces, and created some jewelry of my own.
